As mentioned just recently, the parent site to this group, DC2, has seen something of a story resurgence, old writers coming back to the fold with brand new ideas, brand new writers finding a home with even more curve balls, and just an elevated level of discussion and community. A link to the home page has been provided, but I'm here to talk about what's just beyond that doorway.

First, thanks to all the artists that have, and continue to, contribute to the deviant art group. There are some amazing pieces of art, designs and concepts here, and it's just fantastic to see. The inspiration for establishing this group was a site that developed a deep and involved DC universe of fan fiction, written by a number of writers and built on a foundation of artists that gave life to these tales. Our stories, our "issues" come with covers, and often times an interior piece of art, new logos, and new character designs for old and original. Now, with our resurgence in place, we'd love for some of the talent that comes by here to come on over and get involved. Find our stories, our writers, and get inspired to do some new pieces. Or inspire our writers to come up with some great new twists.

But what do we mean by come on over? There's a WHOLE lot there on that front page.

Well, come on over here idlewilder.proboards.com/board… and introduce yourself and get to know us better.

Then see about moseying on over to this idlewilder.proboards.com/board… board as an artist and see what new cover or other requests are up. Right now, a couple of titles need covers for this month: Birds of Prey #8 and a brand new title in ? Agency #1.

There's some older issues needing covers. A great example is Gotham Girls Grand Finale, over here idlewilder.proboards.com/threa…. Check it out, see if it fires the imagination, and then think about what other great ideas are lurking throughout the site.

Below are links to the general solicitations boards. All the upcoming titles can be seen here, and some have cover artists, but many more don't. Check them out and then reach out to the writer and let them know if you're interested.

And there's always the great fan art thread idlewilder.proboards.com/board… open to all and letting us see you in action. It's a great chance to inspire the writers too, and if there's stuff you'd like to cover, this is a great chance to tell us all.

So we hope to see you all swing by and check us out idlewilder.proboards.com/ and join in the fun. Thanks for your attention and now...let's all get back to creating!

Take care

We are actually a fanfic site that accepts "cover" art for our stories, here: dc2universe.net/  One of the main reasons this dA group was created is to that all you find folks who join us--artists and writers alike--would come over there and do more covers for us.  We WANT you there, it would be great to have you.  Feel free to come over!  Our main artists are overworked!
